
India 12 April, 2019: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will receive the Order of St Andrew for outstanding achievements in promoting partnership with Russia.
The Order of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called is the highest award in the Russian Empire which was established at the end of the 17th Century by Tsar Peter I in honor of the Apostle Andrew the First-Called.
President Putin signs the decree to award the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi the highest civilian award of the Russian Federation -“Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle” for exceptional services in promoting special and privileged strategic partnership between India and Russia.This makes it the eighth international honor for Modi during his tenure as Prime minister.
