Pakistan Cricket Board Announces 23 World Cup Probables for the Fitness Test in Lahore.

Lahore 04 April 2019: Umar Akmal and Wahab Riaz Failed to impress the Selectors.

Pakistan’s National Selection Committee had called 23 Probables World Cup squad after the consultation with team head coach Micky Arthur for the fitness test to be held in national academy Lahore on 15 and 16 April. The final World Cup Squad to be announced on April 18.

The notable omissions from the probables list include Umar Akmal and Wahab Riaz. Akmal had failed to impress the selectors in the five-match series against Australia. The list also includes the names of Mohammad Amir and Yasir Shah. Amir’s ODI form in recent times has been a worry for Pakistan.

Muhammad Hafeez has also been called in the probables who underwent two surgeries after got injured in PSL.

Head Coach Mickey Arthur had already said that “There’s one decision we have to make about a player, but the other spots are finalized.

Sarfaraz Ahmed (c), Abid Ali, Asif Ali, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Sohail, Hasan Ali, Imad Wasim, Imam-ul-Haq, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Abbas, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shan Masood, Shoaib Malik, Usman Shinwari, Yasir Shah.
