Helping Hands, PUTA and Department of Social Work, UOP joint venture to distribute Eid gifts

PESHAWAR: Eid Libas drive starts today at PUTA with an aim to share happiness with under-privileged members of the society. The Eid Gift is a complete package of basic clothing and shoes for a family.

200 plus packages would be shared with marginalized people who are affected by current Covid-19 in way or the other.

The effort has been extended by the Department of Social Work, University of Peshawar in joined hands with Peshawar University Teachers Association (PUTA) and Helping Hand for Relief and Development Islamabad. Miss Kaneez Fatima (V. President PUTA), Dr. Farooq (Media Secretary PUTA), Dr. Shakeel Ahmad (Chairman, Social Work Department), Dr. Ibrar (Ast. Prof. Social Work Department), Asif Khan (V. Lecturer Social Work Department), and Furad Ali (V. Lecturer Anthropology Department) along with the students of Department of Social Work, University of Peshawar participated in the Eid Libas Drive.

“Faces of the receiving members are blurred to keep their dignity and identity privileged. However, we wish we could have shared those smiling faces which we witnessed while distributing these gifts.” Department of Social Work official added.
