Gulf Tension: PM Imran Khan leaves for Saudi Arabia to attend OIC Summit

ISLAMABAD: Prime minister of Pakistan left for Saudi Arabia on Thursday for a two day visit where he will attend the the 14th Summit of Origination of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) which will be held in Makkah on May 31.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi is already in Saudi Arabia and he is waiting for the departure of PM Imran Khan at Saudi Arabia stressed the importance of the OIC summit to discuss the proposed peace plan to defuse the situation in the Middle East.

The OIC Summit is titled as ‘Makkah Summit: Together for the future” which is hosted by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, they aims to develop a unified policy and statement of  Muslim leaders on rising tension in the Gulf.
