Tree Plantation drive kicked off in MTI KTH to contribute towards Billion Tree Tsunami

Peshawar(April 15,2019)

Medical Teaching Institution Khyber Teaching Hospital organised a plantation drive in the hospital, to contribute towards Billion Tree Tsunami. The tree plantation drive was inaugurated by Chairman BoG Dr Faisal Sultan along with Dr Nadeem Alam, Engr Jan Ali, Dr Shah Jehan.

Hospital management collectively planted about 1000 saplings inside the hospital and also in the surrounding areas.

On this tree plantation occasion, Hospital Director Dr Nekdad Khan, Dean KMC Prof Dr Noor ul Iman, Acting Medical Director Associate Prof Dr Muhammad Shoaib, managerial staffs were present.

On the occasion, Chairman BoG Dr Faisal Sultan said that the institute is committed to provide best patient care and a healthy environment. He said that being an institution that provides patient care we should also contribute to the environment by planting trees.

Recognizing the growing environmental concerns and climatic changes around the globe, the day was marked in continuation to commitment of the institute towards ethical practices in health sector.

Hospital Director Nek Dad Khan said that in the second phase after the completion of renovation work the focus will shift to the beautification of the gardens and lawn of the hospital.
