Virat Kohli’s 76 propelled India to 176/7, the highest ever team total in a T20 World Cup final against South Africa at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados on Saturday. Shivam Dube supported him in the death overs, scoring 27 runs.
Earlier, Keshav Maharaj struck twice, dismissing Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant, while Kagiso Rabada claimed Suryakumar Yadav as India lost three wickets in the powerplay. Axar Patel showed good touch with 47 runs but fell victim to a brilliant throw from Quinton de Kock.
