LAHORE: Pakistan has decided to reopen Kartarpur Corridor to facilitate all the Sikh pilgrims, officials said Saturday.
Moeed Yusuf, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Security Division and Strategic Policy Planning, has said that the opening of Kartarpur corridor for Sikh pilgrims s a initiative and has been taken as a special gesture given our commitment to interfaith harmony.
In a tweet, Moeed Yusuf said India has been conveyed the decision that the corridor will be opened from tomorrow putting in place the Standard Operating Procedures to prevent spread of COVID 19 pandemic.
He said Pakistan continues to stand for peace and hoped that the gesture be taken in right spirit.
The Kartarpur Corridor was inaugurated on 09 November last year by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
