Democratic nominee for President Joe Biden said that his campaign intends to name a committe of advisers tasked with narrowing down his Vice Presidential search by May 1.

Democratic nominee for President Joe Biden said that his campaign intends to name a committe of advisers tasked with narrowing down his Vice Presidential search by May 1.

Joe Biden made this statement on Wednesday on ‘CBS’ “The late show with James Corden” when he was asked that when he would be unveiling his running mate.

Biden also added that by July, he expects that his list of finalists to be down to just two or three. He publicly pledge that his running mate will be a woman.

Among the top names on his short list include Sens. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.), Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Rep. Val Demings (D-Fla.) and former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.
