1st International Conference of Social Work” (ICSW-2020) on Social Work Education and Practice; Global agenda and local challenges.

It is happening for the first time in Pakistan, hosted by the Department of Social Work, UOP to be held from 3 to 5 March, 2020. Different local and International researchers are welcomed in this trend-setting event which would not only bring eminent speakers but also initiate an academic discussion that tables the challeges and opportunities for Social Work in Pakistan.

Abstracts can be submitted not later than 10 January, 2020. Approved papers would be informed by 20 January, 2020. Extended Abstracts should be submitted by the end of January. The early bird registration fee for presenters is 7k while normal fee is 10k. For students (with their id cards) is 3k and normal charges are 5k. The fee for Papers presenters from developed countries is 200 USD.

Conference themes for papers are from different thematic areas such as Globalization  and Social Work, De-colonising social Work, Child protection and welfare, Social Work and social movements, Protection and promotion of human rights and many others.The keynote speakers of the conference are: Prof. Dr Sarah Safdar, Prof. Aamir Jamal, Dr. Rory J truell, and Prof. Michael N. 

Guidelines for the abstract are:

Abstracts should be in English having word limit of 300 words, 25 words for title and should have questions, methodology, theoretical framework, results and conclusions. Abstracts would be reviewed by the Committee of Department of Social Work. Acception or rejection will be announced after 10 days. Papers can be presented in two ways: Oral i.e 15mins and 5 for the questions, where as, the Poster presentation, should have only 2 presenters and it should not be too long to occupy the space.

Beside this, all the selected authors will be offered an opportunity for publication in the Peshawar Journal of Psychology and Behaviour Science and Research Journal Pakistan.
