Kamala Harris Demands Immediate Ceasefire and Aid Access in Gaza: ‘I Will Not Be Silent’

Vice President and Democrats Presidential nominee Kamala Harris recently held discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli War Cabinet member Benny Gantz regarding the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The meetings focused on the urgent need for a humanitarian ceasefire and the facilitation of aid to the region.

Harris has been a vocal advocate for a six-week immediate ceasefire to alleviate the severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza. She emphasized that both Israel and Hamas must work towards an agreement that would see the release of hostages and allow for the delivery of essential supplies, including food and medical aid, to Gaza’s residents. Harris highlighted that while Israel has the right to defend itself, it must also take significant steps to ensure the flow of humanitarian aid and minimize civilian casualties.

Harris stated, “We cannot look away and we will not be silent,” reflecting her commitment to raising awareness about the atrocities being committed and advocating for an end to the suffering of innocent people.

“It is time for this war to end and end in a way where Israel is secure, all the hostages are released, the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza ends, and the Palestinian people can exercise their right to freedom, dignity and self-determination,” Harris said.
