Washington D.C. 3 June, 2020: The only thing Barack Obama & I have in common is that we both had the honor of firing Jim Mattis, Said President Donald Trump

President Trump while giving his statement on a social media network twitter has said that, Jim Mattis, a retired United States Marine Corps general the world’s most overrated General. I asked for his letter of resignation, & felt great about it.

Trump further added that “His nickname was “Chaos”, which I didn’t like, & changed to “Mad Dog”. His primary strength was not military, but rather personal public relations. I gave him a new life, things to do, and battles to win, but he seldom “brought home the bacon”. I didn’t like his “leadership” style or much else about him, and many others agree. Glad he is gone!

James Norman Mattis is a retired United States Marine Corps general who served as the 26th US secretary of defense from January 2017 through January 2019. During his 44 years in the Marine Corps, he commanded forces in the Persian Gulf War, the War in Afghanistan, and the Iraq War.

Mattis was nominated as secretary of defense by president-elect Donald Trump, and confirmed by the Senate on January 20, 2017. As secretary of defense, Mattis affirmed the United States’ commitment to defending longtime ally South Korea in the wake of the 2017 North Korea crisis.

On June 2, 2020 during the protests following George Floyd’s killing Mattis publicly criticized Trump, describing him as “the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people—does not even pretend to try. Instead, he tries to divide us.
