‘Ertugrul Ghazi’ statue erected in Lahore, Pakistan

LAHORE: A statue of the famous Muslim-Turkish warrior Ertugrul Gazi has been erected in a residential colony in Lahore in view of the popularity of the Turkish drama ‘Dirilis Ertugrul’, which has been airing on Pakistan Television (PTV) since the end of April.

The statue depicts Ertugrul Gazi riding a horse and holding a sword in his hand.

It is pertinent to mention that Turkish drama is being translated into Urdu and is being run under the name ‘Ertugrul Ghazi’ and this drama has set new records of popularity in Pakistan.
